Stacy Nickell Miller and Clark Miller of The Knoxville cello-guitar duo provide elegant and fun classical and world music for all occasions. The cello and guitar complement each other perfectly. This husband-wife duo has performed at governor’s mansions, mountain lodges, weddings, private parties, art openings, corporate events and house concerts for 20 years. But they always keep it fresh. Repertoire ranges from “Bach to Blues to Bossa Nova,” with stops in between for Celtic, rags, Beatles, waltzes, tangos and their own compositions.
In addition to playing with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, cellist Stacy Miller performs with the flute-cello-harp trio Farr Horizons and is sought after as an arranger of all sorts of music. Guitarist Clark Miller has an eclectic background that includes European folk clubs, traditional music groups up and down the spine of Appalachia from Vermont to West Virginia to Tennessee. He also has a deep love of classical music.
The duo can play a fun array of world music including Celtic harp tunes, film themes, Beatles, traditional fiddle tunes, tangos, bossa nova, ragtime as well as music suited to weddings and other elegant events—dinner parties, house concerts, corporate events.
